Jordan Wins Big In Singapore

Jordan firmly established themselves as the best side in group A by winning its third consecutive game in the round, 3-0 away to Singapore.

Singapore on the other hand, fell in its third straight match and appear to be headed toward elimination next match.

Jordan got on top early through Abdallah Deeb who scored his third goal in qualifying and second of this round in the 11th minute. Defender Anas Bani Yaseen doubled the away side's lead in the second half with his third international goal. Yaseen also struck against Singapore in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup.

Ahmed Hayel ended any hopes of a comeback for Singapore with his third goal of qualifying in the 64th minute. Jordan now has a chance to qualify for the fourth round next matchday if they defeat Singapore at home and get help elsewhere.

Jordan appears comfortably in the next round regardless and it is tough to find a team that has been more impressive than them so far in Asian qualifying.
