Australia Dispatches Oman

Australia remained perfect in qualifying with an easy 3-0 victory at home over Oman. In a match that was never in doubt, Brett Holman gave the Aussies a lead they did not relinquish in just the seventh minute.

Holman found space a few yards out and tapped in a low cross, which gave the keeper no chance and put Australia in front.

Australia dominated possession and the rest of the match, with a bunch of chances. They extended their advantage in the 65th minute through Joshua Kennedy who slammed home a rebound.

Mile Jedinak made it three a few minutes from full time off of a set-piece. The win sees Australia take nine points from its three games so far and they can wrap up progressing to the next round with a win next month in Oman.
